Artist's Comments

Most will already have seen this, I moved it out of my scraps. Been iffy about putting any photography in my main gallery, but I am pretty proud of this one even if it's not technically great =P Taken with a Nikon Coolpix L12, 7.2 mp

What angles do you use to minimize glare on the aquarium glass?
:iconsn4pdr4g0n:
For most fish pictures, I just put a lotion bottle next to the tank about as far as the fish will probably be, and go as far away as I can, on macro setting I zoom on the bottle's label to focus, and then point at the fish from the same distance, and shoot. It seems to work best, I rarely get glare if I do it at the right distance away. If zooming from further away, the flash glare will usually just go elsewhere on the tank and miss the subject. Too far though, and it could light up the whole side of the glass haha.

That's a fantastic shot. I've been using a Coolpix for almost two years now... how did you get such a selective field of view with it?

That's what I would have said. If I had said what I meant, if I had known what I had meant to say...
